The Seminary building, referred to as Prana, represents to the MSIA
community the physical center for all those studying the spiritual teachings of the
Mystical Traveler. It is a physical-level anchoring point for the Light and love of the
Traveler and is the place where the MSIA and PTS staff and the Prana residents work
to provide a variety of services to the MSIA community. As such, this makes an
ideal setting for students of the Traveler to learn to serve and to live the teachings.
There will be a brand-new type of spiritual person coming into Prana who
is going to have, in their own right, a clearer focus and a vision of where
we're going, because we're raising the vibration of the

the teachings and, even more important, living the teachings; and to serve,

GOING HOME WITH THE TRAVELER
A few years ago on a PAT IV
journey, some of the participants were inside a
beautiful temple in Egypt. The energy was very refined and pure. Someone asked J-R about
the place, and he said that, in its time, it had been a focal point for pure energy to
come into the planet. Someone else asked if there was anywhere like that now. His
answer was, "Yes—Prana." J-R recently reaffirmed this and added that "the amount
of spiritual Light at Prana is found in the intentions of the people living there."
This indicates some of the blessings that can come with living at Prana and
gives an idea of how each individual can make a significant contribution to the
spiritual focus and energy there.
Living at Prana provides students great support for focusing on Soul
Transcendence, doing their spiritual exercises, and deepening their relationship with
the Traveler and Spirit. Prana has often been called the "Home of the Traveler"
because honoring that consciousness and finding it within oneself is so much a part of
what goes on there.
STUDYING THE TEACHINGS
The foundational studies for all students of MSIA consist of reading Soul
Awareness Discourses and listening to Soul Awareness Tapes. In addition, residents of
Prana complete the PTS Master of Theology in Practical Spirituality program, a
two-year course.
AND, EVEN MORE IMPORTANT, LIVING THE TEACHINGS
Living at Prana provides students with the advantage of being part of a
large support-group of people who are all learning and growing together,
while holding a loving focus and an intention toward Soul Transcendence.
Spiritual growth and upliftment are natural and inevitable consequences for
those aligned in this way.
At Prana, the spiritual energy is intensified, by design and intention,
and students have often remarked on how quickly they are able to go
through things there. The focus and commitment of the students living at Prana
provide continual support and encouragement to live the teachings day to day, moment
to moment.
AND TO SERVE, MORE THAN AT OTHER PLACES
J-R has said that being of service is the highest form of consciousness on the
planet, and loving service is the foundation for all that is done at Prana. With Prana being
the headquarters of the Church of the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness and
Peace Theological Seminary and College of Philosophy, there is ample opportunity
for service, and volunteers are a cornerstone of the work of the Church. Students can
use their present skills and learn new ones as they participate in service with the
Church and Seminary.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY TO LIVE AT PRANA
1. Have a current subscription to MSIA Soul Awareness Discourses.
2. Be an initiate in MSIA or have written an initiation intent.
3. Be an ordained minister in MSIA or be studying toward ordination in MSIA.
4. Be financially stable in order to easily meet the Prana financial requirements.
5. Be free of any "recreational" non-prescription drug use. (This does not
apply to drugs prescribed by a medical doctor for valid reasons of health.) The
use of alcohol, cigarettes, and "recreational" drugs is not permitted on the
Prana grounds.
LIVING AT PRANA
Prana residents participate in several areas of service: Church service, working
side-by-side with MSIA/PTS Staff; house service, maintaining the household and Prana
grounds; and serving at special events. Residents are also required to participate in the Master
of Theology Program and the Doctoral Program, and tuition is included in the
monthly resident fees.
