How do I know what PTS course to start with?

If you are new to the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness (MSIA) and PTS, we recommend that you begin with any of the public-program classes or workshops. If you are an active subscriber to MSIA Soul Awareness Discourses, you can take one of our advanced courses. See which ones resonate for you. We highly recommend the Master of Spiritual Science Program as a way of learning MSIA's form of practical spirituality.

What is the difference between the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness (MSIA) and Peace Theological Seminary and College of Philosophy (PTS)?

PTS is a seminary that provides spiritual education to students in the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness (MSIA) and to the general public in order to enhance their awareness of Spirit. The teachings of MSIA are presented around the world through classes, retreats, workshops, trainings, correspondence courses, Internet courses, a Master of Spiritual Science Program, and a Doctor of Spiritual Science Program. MSIA is a nondenominational, ecumenical church.

What is a PTS facilitator?

PTS classes are conducted by facilitators. PTS uses the term "facilitator" rather than "teacher" or "instructor" because it more accurately describes the role of the person who leads the class. A PTS facilitator is a student in MSIA, usually an MSIA minister, who is dedicated to knowing God and who presents the teachings of MSIA to others in order for all to gain experience of an awakening to the kingdom of heaven, which is within. A PTS facilitator practices and presents MSIA's teachings of Soul Transcendence. PTS facilitators are trained and meet a standard of excellence before they are qualified to facilitate PTS classes.

What is that "energy" of the Mystical Traveler that PTS works with in its classes?

The Mystical Traveler Consciousness (energy) is a wayshower to guide people into the higher levels of Spirit, the greater reality of God. It assists in awakening, within those who choose, each person's awareness of Spirit and the discovery of God within themselves and in everything.

Why is a subscription to Soul Awareness Discourses a prerequisite for many of the PTS classes?

PTS explores the spiritual teachings of MSIA, which are presented in the MSIA Soul Awareness Discourses. The Discourses are the core study requirement for advanced study in MSIA.

Is Peace Theological Seminary and College of Philosophy (PTS) an accredited school?

PTS is not accredited by the Accreditation Association of Colleges and Universities because seminaries don't fall into that category of schools. However, PTS is approved to grant degrees as a church-related school for its Master of Spiritual Science Program in California and New Mexico and for its Doctor of Spiritual Science Program in California.

How does PTS differ from other seminaries?

The Seminary teaches practical spirituality in our changing world. PTS maintains that our primary relationship is with our own Soul, and the focus of PTS is to provide educational opportunities that support students in becoming more aware of the Divine in themselves. People who study at PTS are from all backgrounds and traditions--Jewish, Protestant, Roman Catholic, Buddhist, etc. Within that, there is acceptance for all spiritual paths and expressions.

Are Peace Theological Seminary and College of Philosophy (PTS) classes based on the Bible?

The Seminary teaches unconditional loving. The spiritual line of energy on which PTS studies are based is the Christ Consciousness, which is a universal consciousness of love and pure Spirit that exists within each person through the Soul. The bible is one of the sources that we use to reach the Christ consciousness.
