Through the Doctor of Spiritual Science Program (DSS), students move to new levels of expansiveness and awareness. The DSS provides a supportive format for expanding spiritual awareness and for the consistent and disciplined practice of the Traveler's teachings. Experience has shown that this program requires a daily, conscious, continual focus.

The DSS Program is a three-year program, with students meeting one weekend a month for nine months each year. The students are given support materials and assignments to do between the weekend classes that are designed to integrate the tools and keys they learn during the class weekends.

(Class Descriptions)

The first two years are devoted to intensive course work with the focus of the student being primarily on themselves and the discovery of their Practical Treatises, the final paper required for graduation in the DSS.

In Year One, the student is introduced to some of the key tools and techniques of the spiritual scientist. Through self-observation, the student explores expansive directions that could become their Practical Treatise Individual Study area.

"There are two key ways to know if you're really following in God consciousness or not: How you're not following is shown by the limitations and restrictions and constrictions that you put out. You often can feel them in your body. And they usually lead to physical illness, emotional sickness and mental disturbance. The way that you know you are in God's work is by how much you are expanding and by how much more you are effectively 'doing it.' You see, God created us and He didn't use any junk to do it. Sometimes you want to take who you are as a creative being and make junk, thinking that's going to be acceptable. At the level we are working in this PTS doctoral program, I want to be clear with you that it's not. The thing we're on the planet to learn is discipline towards God's direction. That discipline is not a punishment. It's joy. And it's a real thankful thing to have."

- John-Roger . .

During Year Two, students focus on expanding their awareness of themselves as divine beings. They refine their attention, intentions, purposes and goals, and explore deeper levels of commitment to their spiritual awakening. The Practical Treatise area that each student engages in is a vehicle for the discovery and exploration of their spiritual nature.

"What's the main reason for the DSS class? It could be answered two ways: the negative way is, what stops you from seeing God? The other way is, what helps you get to God? If you find out what's stopping you, that doesn't mean you cracked it, but you are getting to God, that means you're already on course-correction, and you are just on a timeline of fulfillment. And each person may have a slightly different variation."

- John-Roger . .

The third year - a year of practical application - is an opportunity for students to devote time to demonstrating, and writing their Practical Treatises. Students continue to attend monthly classes, during which they confer with their peers and advisors in developing and applying their Practical Treatise as a repeatable and useable methodology.

Successful completion of years one, two and three, and all the program requirements, including the completion and approval of the Practical Treatise, qualify the student to receive a Doctor of Spiritual Science Degree.

Optional course work for students who have successfully completed DSS years one, two, and three and meet the course prerequisites.

The primary emphasis of this course is in-depth development of the ministerial skills that the student has worked with in the course of the three years of the DSS program. In addition, the course covers information on the legal and ethical issues pertinent to ministers who are actively serving their communities.

The focus for the Minister is to bring one’s self and/or recipient into a greater sense of well-being and attunement with their divinity through the practice of Spiritual Science which is a religious practice using the Holy Spirit to release blocked patterns of energy. Throughout the program, students develop and apply a model or protocol using their Practical Treatise topic as their specialty. In addition, there is a focus throughout the program on self-healing.

The student’s performance during the class weekends and their homework are two of the factors that are considered for completion of the Advanced Ministerial Studies course. When a student receives their DSS degree they qualify for a certificate in Advanced Ministerial Studies.

Optional course work for students who have successfully completed year four of the DSS and meet the course prerequisites. In year five, the student continues developing their ministerial skills. In addition, each student designs and implements a year long ministerial project.

Curriculum:
*Gaining a foundation in the ethics of practice as a Minister and Spiritual Scientist.
*Awakening intuition more to allow the Holy Spirit to come through the DSS minister.
*Practicing with other students in the class to learn to be aware of energy movement during a ministerial service.
*Attuning within by focusing on spiritual exercises, listening within for higher guidance, and other techniques of spiritual attunement.
