Distance learning opportunities are ideal for students who live in remote areas where there are no live PTS classes taking place, as well as for busy professionals, parents - individuals who are unable for a variety of reasons to attend local classes. Correspondence courses are conducted by regular mail and students do their course work at home. E-mail and Chatroom classes use lecturettes, group sharing, journal writing, guided meditations and one-on-one processes on computer. All three formats are designed to support students in having a direct experience of loving and Spirit, and their potential for healing and upliftment. For correspondence courses, there is a specific tuition charged for each course. E-mail and chatroom classes are offered free of charge. All courses listed below are described on previous pages in this catalog.



Distance Learning courses conducted on the Internet

PTS E-mail and chatroom classes have taken place since the summer of 1995, as a way of bringing MSIA students around the world together for an experience of the Spirit via computers. Many people, both new to MSIA and longtime Soul Awareness Discourse subscribers, have since participated in e-mail and chatroom classes and received tremendous value.
E-Mail Classes
E-mail courses are done entirely by e-mail, and usually last three weeks. Students e-mail their responses to the class exercises to the other members of their "pod." Each "pod" consists of eight to twelve people. As such, students have the opportunity to read about their podmates' experiences of forgiveness, abundance and being a Spiritual Warrior in their everyday lives.

Students have six days to complete each class session at their convenience. In order to participate in the e-mail courses, students must be familiar with how to use their e-mail programs to send, receive and save e-mail. Study materials are required for each course.     Chatroom Classes

    No chatroom classes are being offered at this time.

    To take a chatroom class, you need a little computer experience, or the willingness to learn. You also need to be available to participate in a full 2 hour class session at a specific pre-scheduled time. Chatroom classes are live and interactive, and take a gentle, supportive approach for new users.

    When people sign up for chatroom classes, an electronic mail message is sent to them with information to help familiarize them with the chatroom environment. Instructions are written out for both Macintosh and Windows users. A facilitator, a person who leads the classes, can even coach you through the process of setting up for a class if needed.     PTS offers correspondence courses for students who wish to study at home. These courses consist of ten weekly lessons, each requiring from three to five hours of study per week.
