Intent of PTS Chat Room
(Chatroom) The intent of the PTS Chat
Room is to provide a sacred space in which to support students in having a direct experience of
loving and Spirit, and their potential for healing and upliftment. Groundrules 1.
Don’t
hurt yourself and don’t hurt others. 2.
Take
care of yourself so you can help take care of others 3.
Use everything
to your advancement, upliftment, and growth. Confidentiality All information exchanged
during the course of a PTS Chat Room Class is confidential and not to be reproduced
outside the context of the class. This includes "logging" activity and cutting and pasting any text information shared on the server www.pts.org:6667 into any other application. Sharing your experience of the class, rather than any
specific content or process, is however encouraged as a way to promote greater
participation in these classes. Illegal Activity The use of the Services for
any activity that violates any local, state, federal or international law,
order or regulation is a violation of this Policy. Unacceptable Behavior Chatroom may not be used to perform chat "flooding."
Flooding is defined as deliberately repeating actions in quick succession in
order to fill the screens of other Internet users with text. Automated programs may not
be used to participate in chat sessions except as instructed by the PTS
facilitator or meeting chair. Chatroom may not be used to
send messages which disrupt another Internet user's equipment, including
software, hardware, and user display. Chatroom may not be used to
access any chat server other than www.pts.org:6667. Chatroom may not be used to
manipulate any chat server in order to harass or disconnect other Internet
users, or to gain privileges which have not been authorized. A student may not use
Chatroom to connect to chat servers or channels from which they have been
previously banned. Chatroom may not be used to
continue to send chat messages to an Internet user who has indicated their
desire to not receive such messages. Forging, altering, or obscuring your identity or IP address while participating in chat sessions is forbidden. Violation of Acceptable Use Policy
Failure to comply with this policy may result in a student being temporarily banned from the use of the Chatroom, at the discretion of the PTS facilitator. At the discretion of Peace Theological Seminary and College of Philosophy, the user may be unallowed to register for future Chatroom events, and/or other PTS events. PTS reserves the right at all times to regulate the use of this Chatroom in support of PTS's Educational Values and Goals. |
![]() Chatroom classes require Netscape Communicator 3.0 or above or Internet Explorer 3.0 or above with Java and JavaScript fully enabled. PTS online uses JPilot's jIRC applet to connect you to the PTSonline IRC server (www.pts.org:6667) and sends you to the channel that corresponds with your PTS online class. Your online name will be your first name and last initial as one word. |
