GENERAL INFORMATION

Application Information

For the Master of Spiritual Science and the Doctor of Spiritual Science programs, contact the Seminary for the appropriate application. The application will give further information on any additional paperwork and other requirements. (For the Master of Spiritual Science, a bachelor's degree is required for admission to the degree program. For the Doctor of Spiritual Science Program, applicants must have graduated from the PTS Master of Spiritual Science Program. For students who do not have a bachelor's degree, the same coursework is offered, and a certificate of completion is issued to those who have successfully completed the programs. For the other programs listed in this catalog, the minimal requirement is that the student be 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma or its equivalent.) Once the application is completed and returned to the Seminary, the student can register to take courses offered through the program for which he or she is enrolled. The registration process is explained below.

For most courses in the Continuing Education Program, there is a requirement of a current subscription to the MSIA Soul Awareness Discourses. Additional prerequisites are noted where applicable. When students register to take their first discourse subscriber class, there is an application form they must complete, in addition to the usual registration form, which will be provided by the class facilitator. A one-time application fee of $25 is due at that time, in addition to the tuition for the particular class. Thereafter, students need to pay the tuition only for the particular class for which they are registering.

Registration for classes is generally handled by the class facilitator. For classes conducted in the Los Angeles area, registrations are generally handled by the registrar.

Registration for the Master of Spiritual Science Program, workshops, and retreats is usually handled by the registrar, and, whenever applicable, by the Seminary representative in the area where an event is being held. Fliers and announcements about the specific events give information on the registration procedures for each event.

For the Seminary Program at Prana, please contact the Residents Program Administrator at the 3500 West Adams Boulevard address for an application. Information about the special procedures involved in applying for this program will be provided.

Tuition and Fees

Tuition for all courses is indicated in current schedules of Seminary offerings listed in various fliers and literature distributed by the Seminary.

The following are the fees applicable as of the printing of this catalog (subject to change without prior notice):

Application fee for Continuing Education program: $25.00 U.S.

Cancellation Policies

Cancellation policies are included in the information students receive when they register for specific courses. The policies vary depending on the event and location.

Evaluation

The evaluation process encourages students to take full responsibility for their own learning. Papers are marked with comments to assist students to determine their own progress. Final grades are "P" for "pass," "NC" for "no credit" (signifying the student did not participate enough to warrant a "P"), and "I" for "incomplete" (signifying the student may complete the course at a later time as approved by the Seminary).
